Glutathione

Glutathione is a cellular antioxidant and detoxifying system including reduced glutathione (GSH), glutathione reductase (GSR), glutathione S-transferase (GST), and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px).

Glutathione exerts a natural protective mechanism to prevent free radical damage. It has also been shown to enhance insulin secretion in people with impaired glucose tolerance.

HEALING TIP: Glutathione supplements are not readily absorbed by the body. Instead, you can boost your liver's production of glutathione by feeding it the right "ingredients"- including foods rich in glutathione like asparagus - the food noted to be highest in glutathione, as well as glutathione precursors (cysteine) with the best source being undenatured organic whey protein.
