Thanks to flash-freezing methods, strawberries are always in season. And if you choose organic you’ll not only limit your exposure to pesticides, but may also boost the cancer-fighting effects of these delicious berries.

A recent study published in the February, 2006 issue of the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry tested the extracts of five types of strawberries on human colon and breast cancer cells. While all of the strawberry extracts decreased the proliferation of both types of cancer cells, the organic strawberry extract had stronger cancer-fighting activity.

Here’s a few berry delicious ways to enjoy strawberries, organic, of course!
